Driving Rural Development with EAFRD Grants

 

At Víridi Horizons, S.L. we are committed to sustainable growth and the development of our environment. To this end, we invest in innovative and sustainable projects backed and co-financed by EAFRD Grants (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development).

💡 What do these grants consist of?

EAFRD is the European Union’s financial instrument designed to strengthen rural development policy. Its main objective is to achieve a more competitive agricultural sector, ensure the sustainable management of natural resources, and promote balanced territorial development of rural economies and communities.

🌱 Our Subsidised Projects

Thanks to the support of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the relevant authorities in our region, we have been able to carry out the following initiative:

Grant awarded to the entity VIRIDI PROCESSING MADRID SLU with file number ATR1-25-2025 for the investment operation known as PISTACHIO PROCESSING PLANT LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF ALCOBENDAS (MADRID), to be carried out in Alcobendas (Madrid) in accordance with Article 19 of Order 17/2023, of 12 July, for the renovation, conditioning and installation of machinery for the production of pistachio-derived products, their storage and marketing.

Objectives:: Increase productive capacity, improve sector competitiveness, diversify pistachio-derived products and strengthen the local value chain.

Results:: Development of new pistachio-derived products, increased industrial processing capacity and reduced operating costs through the modernisation of facilities and machinery.

The project is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), the Spanish Central Government and the Community of Madrid. The total amount of co-financed aid amounts to €486,826.56.
